Connie and Tristan are falling for each other quickly as they participate in a new clinical drug trial. But is their sudden chemistry real, or just the side effect of a new antidepressant? As they continue to explore their intoxicating and exhilarating
relationship, the supervising doctors struggle to confront the line between love and ethics. Is it truly love— or simply just a side effect? THE EFFECT takes on our pill-popping culture with humor and scintillating drama.
