Off Square Theatre Company is pleased to announce auditions for Thin Air Shakespeare’s Richard III, directed by Edgar Landa.
SYNOPSIS:
Richard of Gloucester wants to be King of England and uses manipulation and deceit to achieve his goal. He murders his brothers, nephews, and any opposition to become King Richard III. In the end, Henry of Richmond raises an army, kills Richard in battle, and becomes King Henry VII.
ROLES:
- Casting 10 actors to play multiple roles, with specific roles determined based on the cast actors.
- This production will be ensemble based with almost all actors playing multiple roles.
- Richard III and Anne have been precast.

AUDITION DETAILS:
- WHEN: 15-minute slots available 2-4pm on Sunday 2/5/23
- WHERE: Black Box Theater at the Center for the Arts (265 S Glenwood St, Jackson WY 83001)
- WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue from Shakespeare’s work. It does not have to be age or gender specific – choose something you feel connected to.
- HOW TO AUDITION: Email elizabeth@offsquare.org to secure a time slot. All auditions are in-person. Please do not submit a video.

- First rehearsal – June 12
- Performances – July 7-9 & 13-16
- All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Center for the Arts in Jackson, WY (265 S Glenwood St, Jackson WY 83001). Currently seeking local hires only.
- Both Union and non-Union contracts available (Equity SPT Tier 5 expected).
